Sigh. If this is the rapist, the guy's a piece of fecal material - send the stool sample off to the penitentiary and let the boys deal with him there. But would ya stop calling the guy homeless until you actually know for sure? And while we're on this, what difference would that make, anyway? If the situation was reversed, would the Tennessean have reported "a man who apparently has a house allegedly raped a woman?" Of course not. It's just a real crappy way of ratcheting up tensions and stereotypes between the Homeless and the rest of the downtown community. I wish they'd consider these potentials before sending articles into the public domain....

Rape Suspect Captured

Police in Nashville arrested a man Sunday morning they believe raped a woman near Bicentennial Mall. Ricky Morgan is charged with aggravated rape for the alleged incident that took place on September 18. The 22-year-old victim said she was attacked at about 2:30 a.m. as she walked home from a downtown club. Morgan, 49, is thought to be homeless and frequents the Farmer’s Market area of downtown Nashville. He was taken into custody at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday. He is being held in the Metro Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
