I have sent probably close to 100 people in their direction since the first of July, as this was the start of their new fiscal year and their money-pot received its annual paltry refill.
If the demand I've seen already is any indication, I'll bet a dollar to a donut they run out of money before Christmas this year....

Almost 2,000 needy families have flooded the Nashville government with requests for assistance over the past six days.
The Metropolitan Action Commission has received 1,847 applications from low-income families seeking help with expenses like rent and mortgage payments, property taxes and gas and electric bills.

“During the first week nearly 100 customers were in line each morning to apply for assistance,” said Cynthia Croom, Executive Director of the Metropolitan Action Commission.
The commission opened a temporary office in south Nashville to help relieve the long lines at its main headquarters. The temporary site closed this afternoon, but applicants can still visit the main office at 1624 5th Ave. North.
The commission is also giving away free fans and air conditioners to the elderly, disabled or Davidson County residents with medical conditions that require them to be in a cool environment.
