After months in a homeless shelter, on Christmas Eve Frank and his family hear an apartment is open in a nearby housing project. One hitch: to qualify, Frank needs a job on the books. With the rest of New York in holiday spirits, he takes his ten-year-old stepson and scours the cold city streets determined to find work.
