Alabama bands reach out to help Nashville's homeless Newspaper "The Contributor" It's a new newspaper that has homeless information, articles, poetry, politics, whatever is helpful to these people who call the streets their home. It also supplies jobs for those who want to earn their dollar. It also keeps them from getting fined for pan handling.Tonya Watts has been following the story of downtown and all of the changes. She wrote a song about a homeless friend she met at the river named called "Cumberland Angels"She also started a B. Love for the homeless and She has an on going Sock drive called "sock it to me"
People send her socks from all over the world literally. Watts wanted to put on a benefit for the news paper who are struggling to stay a float. Like we all are these days.
She also feels one of those groovy movements brewing that doesn't come around too often. This was an opportunity for Watts to help the paper and play with her Alabamian friends in the same room.. This is going to be a great night!
