Billions for Iraq, no housing for homeless

It broke my heart to read about the plight of a couple, Lori Benway and Robert Lynch, whose beautiful baby was taken away from them because they are homeless. Perhaps there were other extenuating circumstances for doing this, but whatever the reason, it's sad there are so many homeless people in this rich country of ours. Why is it that we can afford to send billions of dollars to Iraq, while we cannot provide housing for the homeless? How unfair!
