Xmas Vacation Starts Today

Ah, nice to be on a short vacation again. I've got the week of Xmas off and will return to work next week, but will be doing some stuff for folks on the street in my off time; I'm having some folks over for a big (albeit early) Xmas dinner before we head to Shreveport, and I've got some gifts of food cards to pass out to folks on the street today and tomorrow.

I'm also going to try and provide some respite to the cold today. I've got tv in my van and the seats recline, so I can stick someone in the van for an hour or two and thaw them out while watching a little Simpsons or Mash - or let them catch a quick and warm nap - get them something to eat and then send them back into the world with a little better perspective. It isn't much but it's all I got and I know when I was down and out, I would've killed to spend even 15 minutes in any one of the thousands of cars that passed me by while I sat shivering and hungry on a bench somewhere.....
