My friend Ray Ray has been a resident of Tent City for a long time. As the date of the camp's closing draws nearer, Ray Ray recently decided he'd rather remain in his tent than go inside, so he relocated to an area on the outskirts of Nashville, where he though the grass was greener and the people were much more tolerant of people experiencing homelessness....
It's funny, ya know; here he was, living in Tent City, a homeless camp being closed by Metro PD because of the "violence" and "public health risks" supposedly rampant in the encampment (and anyone who has visited the camp regularly will tell you that this is a crock of total bull) and the entire 4 years he was there he was never once attacked or denigrated by assholes masquerading as human beings.
It sure didn't take long for that to change once he left the safety and security of the homeless camp, now did it?
