Tonya Watts has been working to help the Homeless here in Nashville ever since she met a down on his luck tramp on the street years ago who touched her heart and introduced her to many of the "oldtimers" around the downtown area.
I first met Tonya through a rather testy phone call, but once she discovered "where my heart was," she became a dear friend and a person I could count on to always stand up for those who were less fortunate than the rest of us. When she learned about The Contributor, she loved the idea and the paper so much she wanted to do whatever she could to make sure we kept the paper on the streets where it belongs.
Tonya contacted us with the idea of a benefit concert and we of course were both grateful for her talent and abilities as well as her kindness and generosity.
What follows is the culmination of her effort....
