Every now and then good things happen for the homeless via agencies that are trying to help. Today a couple of things are shaking; first, the Homelessness Commission's team of administrative folk are having an open house at their new location on 6th, in the "little grey house" across from MDHA's main facilityat 701 S Sixth. Come see Clifton, WillyC and the gang if you have a free minute - there will be FREE FOOD (the siren-song of all those who work in non-profits!)
Also, the "Room in the Inn" (formerly the Campus for Human Development) BREAKS GROUND today on an 11 mil facility that should do much to assist the folks in our area struggling with issues related to, caused by, and perpetuating homelessness!!!
Congrats to Rachel, Charlie, Rob and the folks at CHD on the start of a great new journey!
