Wanna Be An OutReach Worker? Here's Your Chance....

One thing about this position that probably should be made clear before going further is that it is primarily an HIV/AIDS information outreach position, versus a "standard" outreach position. And while there really are no set "standards" for outreach workers, there are indeed Best Practices, as well as the broad or narrowly scoped targeting of clientèle, which is often left up to the organization performing the outreach. My agency pretty much has a "no holds barred" approach and anyone who finds themselves homeless comes under my purview. Furthermore, my outreach allows a multifaceted approach to those who are homeless and includes just about everything, from job training to housing resources to community service supervision to prescription medicine purchases to ID procurement to transportation to food to health care to life skills to drug abuse/alcohol counseling to tobacco cessation to agency referrals to .....well you get the picture.... From the fine folks over at StreetWorks....
