"soldier in Kentucky accused with three other men of beating a homeless man in Cincinnati will return to Ohio to face a charge of felonious assault"

The sad news is that, given the number of homeless vets on the streets of American cities today, there's a 30 percent chance that he could've been beating up one of his own colleagues.

I guess he can hope that other soldiers won't do the same to him, since he's almost certain to be dishonorably discharged and that's a barrier that definitely has the potential to facilitate his journey to a back alley somewhere off one of the mean streets....

Soldiers Charged After Assaulting Homeless ManAuthorities say 24-year-old Riley Feller of Fort Knox has waived extradition in an Elizabethtown court.
Police say Feller and the others beat 52-year-old John Johnson who was sleeping under a bridge April 10.
Police say the men allegedly chose Johnson at random because they wanted to quote: "kick somebody's butt."
"That was real surprising to me as far as them being military, because I thought military were supposed to protect us, and not attack us when they're at home," said John Johnson, the victim of the attack.
Also charged and arrested in the case are 26-year-old, Fort Bragg Specialist Travis Condor and 24-year-old Michael Hesson of the Cincinnati area.
