I'm really unhappy about the way that police are "labeling" this rapist. There's not much to be gained by stating that the guy "might" be homeless, other than to inflame already tense relations between some of the Homeless and everyone else in the downtown community.
It seems to me that they ought to be more concerned with catching a violent rapist than with speculation about the guy's homelife, or lack thereof.....

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Detectives investigating last week's rape of a 22-year-old woman in Bicentennial Mall, drew a composite sketch of the suspect.
The victim assisted in the development of the sketch, which depicts a black man in his 40s to early 50s who is likely homeless. The suspect is approximately six-feet tall, has a thin build, short hair and a goatee. He also has a scar under his right eye.
The victim was attacked at 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 as she walked home from a downtown club. She was approached from behind while in the amphitheatre area of Bicentennial Mall, thrown to the ground and raped a knifepoint.
The victim resisted, but the suspect repeatedly punched and kicked her in the head and body. The victim was able to walk to a nearby building, from where police were called.
Anyone knowing or recognizing the suspect from the composite sketch is urged to contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
