To those of you facing foreclosure on your home, the first thing to do is to take the bank to court and force them to produce the documents! Then, I'd simply stay put until they came to toss me; given the actions - or lack thereof - of some local sheriffs, it might be a while before that actually happens anyway!

Actually I wish I had the pieces of Michael Moore's "Capitalism" where he shows a sheriff who refuses to evict and a neighbourhood where they started a group that "housesits" squatters of their own houses. There's also a judge who reads every foreclosure word before evicting and found that a huge percentage of these evictions ARE ILLEGAL!
So, if you are facing foreclosure, GO TO THE EVICTION COURT CASE. Make the bank prove that it owns the mortgage because after they've sold it 7x--they have no idea who really owns it. Under the law--they must *prove* legal ownership and in at least 80% of cases they CAN'T!
